Who is Amazona?
Amazona was founded by an ambitious, innovative and passionate young woman named Rebecca Martinez Ferriera. At 6ft2 Rebecca knows a thing or two about being a tall woman, she has size 11 feet and a 38 inch leg. Tired of being unable to find anything on the high street, she set about founding Amazona to cater to woman such as herself who were looking for fashion forward, high quality, stunning shoes.
With over two million women in the UK with size 8-12 feet Rebecca was astonished and dismayed at the uninspiring options that women with larger feet were given. She needed shoes for all occasions, from the office wear, to first dates, from wedding attire to weekends with friends. She needed choices - in style, heel, fabric and purpose and she wanted shoes to get excited about - and she was determined to bring them to other women who needed them as well.
So Amazona was born: A website that celebrates women who stand tall and are proud to celebrate their individuality. Rebecca travelled the world to bring to you the best high quality footwear for large sizes, and when she couldn’t find what she was looking for, she designed some herself. On her travels she found some incredible new accessories designers for you to peruse as well, because every woman loves a good handbag.
Amazona Style will not only be bringing you top tips of the most flattering styles for ladies who are vertically blessed, but trend reports from around the world. Our incredible team of fashion journalists will bring you up the minute style news from all corners of the globe. Think of us as your one stop fashion news network.
Over the coming months Amazona will be adding other lines to our growing brand that fit into your lifestyle, including the exclusive launch of the first ever luxury footwear brand available up to a size 11 early in 2009.
