Apparently this is the ‘It’ scarf for Spring from Luella. A positive bargain at £185.00 (not). Yes, florals were everywhere on the catwalks for Spring/Summer 09 from Vivienne Tam to Badgley Mischka but this little number based on the signature print from Luella’s SS show may be trying to scream english eccentric just a little too hard.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a hater of all things flowery. If I had the legs for a mini dress, give me a Cavalli or Marc Jacobs oriental floral print and I’d be a happy girl. Plus I adore unusual floral hints on accessories.
Anyway, back to the hideous thing above. Personally, I wouldn’t be seen dead in this scarf. Not even if I wanted to look like the president of the Llanfechain’s Womens Institute.
